1. How do I make a call?

• Dial the full number or the 3-digit extension number you wish to call and press the green call button

2. What should I do if the phone is not connecting to an outside line or an internal extension number?

• Check that the number being dialled is correct
• If problem persists escalate issue to the Crisis onsite Support Administrator

3. What should I do if there is no dial tone?

• Check the phone is switched on and try again
• Check there is power to the phone by making sure all the cables to the phone are securely plugged in and the light indicator is on
• Check the phone is charged
• If the problem persists escalate to the Crisis onsite IT Trouble-shooter through the Shift Office

4. What should I do if the phone cuts off during a conversation?

• Check you are still within range of the base unit, if you are too far away from the handset’s base the phone may cut off
• If within range and the problem persists escalate issue to the Crisis onsite Support Administrator

5. How do I clear the new message indicator on the telephone handset (flashing red light)?

• Press the "msg" button just above the red key to clear the "you have a message" text on the display and the red flashing indicator. You can then scroll through the messages or exit. 

6. Hotlines

• Dialling a hotline number will call a group of phones at the hotline site simultaneously, increasing your chances of someone answering your call more quickly.

7. Conference Bridges

• Dial the conference number. Once connected, enter the pin: 123456 to join the conference. A maximum of 10 parties in the conference join a conference line at any one time.

8. Allowed Countries

    Calls to certain countries are blocked due to operational issues. The following is a list shows the countries (landlines) that can be called from the Internet Cafes.
